Help America’s VetDogs make a difference in the lives of veterans by being a part of our exciting event—the Long Island Run & Dog Walk to be held from Saturday, July 25, 2020 to Saturday, August 8, 2020. The 5K course has been officially measured and will leave from Cedar Creek Park. Dogs are welcome for those who wish to take a leisurely walk or run with their four-legged friends.
Since 2003, America’s VetDogs has trained and placed over 350 assistance dogs, FREE of charge, with our nation’s wounded veterans. Special assistance dogs are individually trained to help mitigate disabilities for veterans with blindness, spinal cord injuries, hearing impairments, peripheral and central balance disorders, limb loss, traumatic brain injuries (TBI), and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
Anthony and I got involved with America's VetDogs last year, and we are so proud to help support such an amazing foundation. These dogs truly make all the difference in the lives of disabled vets and first responders. Unfortunately due to COVID-19 and social distancing, the 6th annual VetDogs 5k run/Dog walk will now be virtual. However, we will still be fundraising to help VetDogs fund the raising/training of service dogs for veterans and first responders.
